holiday fix

...finally, the election fever will be over in the next few days...no more irritating political ads in TV/radio and all will be back to regular programming...i did not get the chance to vote coz i missed out on the registration (i'll try to make it the next time)...so to make use of the holiday, i decided to do some retail therapy hehe :)

...went around to look for some brown shirt to go along with my new shoes (which i will be getting later this afternoon hand carried by a friend)...sadly, Cebu is still very limited when it comes to shops for men...i just decided to go for the safest choice..a brown pique polo shirt from Lacoste



...went looking for something new to read after coz i haven't read anything new since the Percy Jackson series which was few months ago...ended up getting a cheap chicken cookbook (which i will be using this coming weekend) and American Gods by Neil Gaiman (which i'm enjoying so far...5 chapters down)



...the rest of the night was spent chatting over Skype and by tonight i'll be back to work again...only this time i think i got a reason to be a bit excited about it :)

...just installed Skype for my Mac few minutes ago and didn't have any idea how to use it at first...few tumbles and wrong click and an hour after, i'm using it like a pro :)



...my Yahoo Messenger is now officially retired :) posted my username earlier in Facebook and got my contact list filled up in an instant...nice :)

...and ow, Glee's 17th episode featured "Total Eclipse of the Heart"...now, my Glee karaoke playlist is complete... i'm gonna belt out these tunes come Sunday :)

gold series

...i bought a pint of Selecta Gold's hazelnut brownie last Sunday which i enjoyed like a fat kid loves cake :) and just earlier before heading home, i decided to make a pit stop at a convenience store to buy another pint...it's sinfully good and it's making me super happy :)

...there's just something with ice cream that instantly gives you that euphoric feeling...blissful...happy and more happy thoughts...and when it's all gone, you want to do it all over again :)

now where did all those brownie chunks go?

new toy

...went to the mall yesterday to get a charger for my phone (the old one decided to stop working) and while looking for one i saw a gorgeous pair of shades from RL and i knew right away that i have to get it...i ended going home without the charger hehehe :)



...the shape of the frame is a bit similar to my Ray-ban though the size is slimmer...took it out to lunch earlier and i'm super liking it...my RB 3360 is now officially retired :)



...next on the list is Tag Heuer' F1 series (the new edition)...it's love at first sight and i'm just waiting for the orange one coz all they have available now is red...i promise this will be the last splurge for me this year (i will try the hardest hehehe)

...the girls wanted a new scene so i decided to take them to Imperial Palace for an early afternoon bite and to get some few cocktails before sunset

weekend w/ girls

...my girl friends are here for the weekend to take care of some work stuff and they decided to stay for the weekend...i became the official mall tour guide (did i tell you i can go around Ayala blindfolded? hehehe)





...passed by Lacoste and saw this orange pique polo shirt and fell in love with it (yes, love at first sight is true! hehehe)...can't help but to do a little retail therapy for myself :)



...took them out to have an Aussie dinner at Canvas...had the usual beef rump and some ribs (we're packing on the protein hehehe)



...went to Hola Espana after to have some churros for dessert...i swear, it's the best ever!!! it was better than Auntie Anne's pretzels which i used to super love way back college



...they are all staying in my room by the way, so we're cuddling like packed sardines in my bed heheh...we're off to Imperial Palace after lunch time for some cocktails and early dinner...tiring but at least i get to do something worthwhile for the weekend :)

5 years and counting

...i attended a small party last Sunday hosted by the company for those who stayed for more than 5 years with them...i didn't feel like dressing up so i went in wearing something very laid back..something effortless...and it was a good call since most of those who attended did the same thing...i could have ended overdressed (again) hehehe :)



...i give it 2 more years and then i think i'm going to look for something new :)

...and ow, my friend tagged me in a photo earlier in Facebook and it just made my morning...the Red Queen looks way funnier in person :)

...i know i'm not suppose to throw curses around because it's Holy Week but WHAT THE FUCK was America thinking??? they voted off Didi Benami from the show...she's the girl who made me fall in love with Terrified..though she's not the most consistent but she's miles far better than Tim Urban...pakshet!!!!!



...oh well, it will be a week or two before i can move on hehehe...i guess i need to divert my attention to uploading some pics from last Sunday's birthday party

road trip

...i arrived a day earlier for the birthday party of my bestfriend's baby so me and some friends decided to do a road trip....took some time to check out some super yum cheeseburgers and the mesmerizing ocean scene :)









...oh yes, it is very mahangin sa labas hehehe

one more day

...i still got one last shift tonight and i can start my short vacation for the weekend...be heading to my bestfriend's hometown to celebrate the b-day of her baby Simone and i'm super excited to see both of them again :) the theme is going to be Alice in Wonderland and she already hired some people to dress up like the Queen of Hearts and the Mad Hatter - that alone makes me want to start the party right about now hehehe :)

...did a quick retail therapy earlier to get something to wear for the party...good thing i reserved something from Lacoste over the weekend...got it earlier and then i made a quick stop at the salon to get a new hair color (i'm now sporting a dark ash blonde do)



...now all i'm waiting is for my shoes to arrive...i asked a friend to get it for me...fell in love with it the first time i saw it online...if only Zara opens up a flagship store in Cebu i'll be happier :)



...now the only thing i need to make sure is to not forget my b-day gift :) i was amused by the concept of customizing your own stuff toy complete with a birth certificate



...this is the safest i can get for a 1-year old on top of a pair denim jeans and jacket from Levi's Kids...it's going to be a very wonderful weekend :)

easy like a sunday morning

...just downloaded 12 Gig worth of the original X-men animated series and i got the whole Sunday morning to enjoy it...it felt like i was back to being a 6-year old kid again waiting every Friday night to catch a single episode hehehe..i got 103 episodes to enjoy and i'm going to have a viewing party soon with friends over pasta and wine..welcome to the kids at heart club hehe :)



...Rogue has always been my favorite..i even named my entire shift after her hehe :)


...i'm eager to get this finished so come next Sunday i can head to some beach and chill...i need a break...who doesn't?

April!

...i'm super duper excited for April to come and so is my Macbook! :) some old porn files need to go to free up some space hehehehe (i really have to buy some portable HD this weekend)



...that wallpaper stays until Glee premieres back this April...i just get super excited at something most of the time and get over it the day after hehehe

...be flying out by next week to attend the 1st b-day of Simone (my bestfriend's daughter) and i can't think of anything to give her as a gift yet...if onyl baby Zara is closer

...after spending the last few weekends at home i was finally convinced by friends to go out on a Saturday night (got no choice really, they showed up knocking on my door already made up, interrupting my X-Men trilogy marathon)

...it's pretty much the same when you go out these days...i've seen few new faces but they don't seem to excite me at all...i don't know if i was just looking for something more interesting or that partyboy inside me is totally dead...either way, it was quite a waste of time...had 2 shots of vodka and called it a night (my alcohol tolerance is back to square 1)

...now, i still have my X-Men trilogy to go back to :)



..which reminds me to change that wallpaper...it's way too fuckin' vain hehe :P

...come early Sunday morning i was one with the whole Philippines glued to the TV set to catch Manny Pacquiao's fight on Pay Per View while having some brunch with friends from work :)

...it wasn't as exciting as his previous fights but you gotta hand it to the guy for still being on top of his game..if not for Clottey's nasty defense till the 12th run he could have been knocked out and i could have won some cash (i bet for the fight to be over by the 7th round hehehe)



...at least the pasta was to die for...surprisingly asparagus and sardines go very well together :)



...and of course it did put a big smile on my face hehe

the best music video ever!!!! (or at least for the past 10 years! hehehe) this is way too awesome! Diet Coke curlers, literally smoking eyewear, awesome choreography and a pussy wagon...it was worth the hype and the wait

on house arrest

Current Facebook Status: on marathon : Flashforward and CSI NY; a bag of leftover Ruffles, 2 packs of YanYan and my Funchum! all i'm missing is a cuddle :)

...i'm nursing a bad case of lower back ache and this will probably keep me in house arrest for the next 2 days...the only thing that i was able to do during my off from work is some retail therapy from Lacoste (the vintage/washed series is back!!!)



..stayed for few minutes at Starbucks (i got lots of free GCs that i can treat you guys coffee for one whole week hehehe)



...if anyone wants some tea latte love then let me know...it's on me :)

fly in / fly out

...i've taken a break from packing my stuff for Manila...i'll be flying early morning tomorrow to attend a quarter business review (fulltime nosebleed mode) in Makati that will last for 3 hours...so help me God and bless my soul :) if only i could get to spend a little bit longer in this room then i'll be happier :)

summer edition

...2 days ago i heard it from the local TV that summer officially started and i just thought i started it way too early - from spending the weekend at Imperial Palace to Boracay the week after...i'm now in the process of getting my skin tone back to where it used to be...i find it funny sometimes to see myself in the mirror looking way too dark :)

...and since it's summer, everyone needs something colorful, light and breezy so i got myself the perfect scent for the season - Diesel's "Fuel For Life" - summer edition :) i checked Rustan's earlier and it won't be available locally until early April :)



...i have been obsessing about the original Fuel For Life when i get to smell it the first time...and to have something of a lighter version that's perfect for daywear is just absolutely wonderful...i'll probably be using this daily till summer ends :)



...what's your favorite perfume/cologne for summer kids? suggestions? if you can find something better than this then you are a genius...but then again we have different senses so to each his own :)

the big chill!

...a deluge of beautiful strangers, sun-kissed skin, smell of sea breeze in the morning with the company of good old friends - that's just how i spent my weekend :) and i don't want to talk about the food coz i'll have a hard time stopping for sure :)







...Boracay's what i badly needed to anticipate for this coming toxic workweek...we have a client on site and i know it's going to be super busy...pleasure before business first as usual :)



...i'll be back in this lovely island by April but as of now, i need a new haircut and a new hair color, a diamond peel session and 1 big carton of Likas Papaya (i heard it does wonders!) hehehe

....summer officially started yesterday, and if having Starbucks by the beach is not perfection then i don't know what is :)
