it's time to put the party hat on!

...i haven't had the chance to celebrate my birthday the way little kids do since i started college and i kinda miss it :)

...but tonight, i got to put my party hat on in a colorful crowded room and lotsa balloons to top the celeb...one of the trainers for the class had her 26th bday and they gave her a surprise party - something that i havent't got for the longest time :)

my training diary - an update in a shuteye

...the past few weeks' killing me - all work related that is...but the good side to it is time flies fast and maybe the next thing i'll know is i'm already on a flight back to Cebu...i never missed the place until now, i've realized that even if i don't like it there, it has already been my comfort zone...

...training is hardcore hard work, you get to meet a lot of interesting personalities, some would make your stay really worthwhile while some would make you want to leave the place right away (and i don't want to name drop hehehe) but yeah..there's someone's getting on my nerves right now....someone whose got a bloated ego which i would love to deflate in an instant :)

...but still, it's been a nice ride except for occasional melancholic moments (yah know, the stuff you do when you miss someone so badly - those kinda stuff), and of course training wouldn't be fun if you don't have the must-have camwhorin' moments hehehe

...i hate it when someone keeps me waiting...i'm the most impatient person i know...everything is wrong right now

...last weekend was just super fast-paced for me, but i think i wasn't the only one...it's the Sinulog weekend so expect the worst when it comes to traffic but when it comes to party...Cebu's the way to go baby :)

...got to sneak out from work to spend the weekend in Cebu, and the first thing i did was to get myself a haircut (i've been having a bad hair day for the last 4 days) and went to Starbs after for my caffeine fix (something that's been deprived from me since I got here...yeah they got no Starbucks here, so i gotta make friends with the coffee vending machine)





...had dinner with Tetet, Ian and Chubaboink and had some carbo overloading...started off with bruschetta then some seafood pasta and some penne with fried zucchinis and eggplants...super yum! and best part about it is that i was able to get a bag of 3 muskeeters when i made a pit stop at the Waterfront...YEY!






...went to some posh bar after and mind you i was already more than 24 hours awake but i'm still kickin'...had lotsa dose of different kind of cheeses and caviar and got some Kahlua for the required alcohol for the night...made a few more talks and called it a night...






...was on hibernate mode the whole day of Saturday and started the day late...had dinner with friends from work to catch up on things and then i got myself a good massage and head for dreamland right after..

...did a little bit of sunbathing (actually that was bit too much) and few hours of walking to catch the whole Sinulog parade...i'm tired...let the pictures do the talking :)

...and of course i'm leaving behind the person i love the most - this thought alone can make me want to leave everything behind but then i gotta do this...for my own good...for my growth



...gosh it feels like i'm not coming back hehehe...before i know it, 3 months' all over and done like the speed of a shuteye...i'll make sure that at the end of this stint I'll be making a pit stop first in Singapore or wherever he may be and i can't wait for that day to come

...a lil' send-off party from friends last Saturday...i sooo want to cry looking at these pictures hehehe...yeah i know - i'm over-reacting...but that's what i do best

a night of debauchery with the fagulous two

i finally got the chance to spend some time with the faguloush BFFs' last night and i should say, it's very refreshing, it's something that i need after a long time and best part of all i gotta spend the night with 'em living the SIMPLE LIFE hehehe

...start it off with a dinner - fear factor style hehehe...this is sooo not the usual glamorous me...got some BBQs' from where else but Larshan (did i spell it right?) - Cebu's most famous barbeque strip where you can satisfy your meat craving without creating much damage to your pocket and having the best siomai in town tops everything..and don't you worry, everything's kosher or at least i think :)





***this is the most laid-back place ever where you can care less...all you need is a bottle of water and some hand sanitizer and you're good to go...plus you can do some flashy-lights-shopping after hehehe



...we then headed to MickyDs' to spend more time gossiping about other people, people we love and specially those we hate and those who were about to hate hahaha...nothing compares to having two backstabbing-hate-loving-gossip-girl-like-fags around you...and of course the night wouldn't be complete without the mandatory camwhorin :)

being cynical about love over a caffeine fix

...i had dinner with an old friend last night - something unplanned (i-bumped-into-you-and-suddenly-i-want-to-have-dinner type hehehe) and by the way i ended up being sooo underdressed for that dinner hehehe

***damn!!! check out those boots, and the full make-up...and me on the other hand is wearing somethin normal, the always dependable Lacoste shirt:

...nyway, after dinner, we head to Starbucks to get our caffeine fix for the night...catch up with "whatever-the-hell-happen-to you stuff", stories about love labor's lost and all the stuff that goes along with it...him being cheated by someone he thought would be the one till the end - now that sucks BIG TIME and i'm sure all the drama about love went all the way down the drain...

...now he's cynical about love, sleeping around or finding the "boytoy for the night" for a temporary high to cope with the pain but when it's over and done i'm sure it's the feeling of being empty that will surface...feeling alone and unloved...and it's normal for him to feel that way...all i could do is listen, and appreciate the fact that i am happy with my current relationship and being loved :)

...but i guess i gave him something to remember before calling it a night, which is this (a line from William Forrester):

i cried...first and last

...i cried earlier - the first and the last for the year

...i miss my mom so badly, i ended crying with her on the phone, i never felt so alone (or maybe it's just what the season brings)...everyone's getting so festive and i'm alone in my room with the tea candle in the burner and the subtle hum of the AC as my company

...this is something i'd probably remember for a long time...good thing i got a friend to cry on :)

...it's gonna be a happy year ahead

finding neverland...and the must-have new year's resolutions

...i'm having sleeping problems lately and i don't even know why...i got myself checked by an optometrist and she said my eyes were perfect (as they always have been hehehe)...maybe i just need to take a breather - i've been spending too much time on excel that he seems like a pseudo boyfriend for the past few days

...one day more and it's gonna be the new year...2007 was a good year for me (there's the promotion, the lovelife and having to spend my birthday with my fab friends somewhere not here)...hope 2008's gonna be better than that...it's the year of the rat and yeah speaking of rats, i got bad dreams about them and their kind that i don't wanna remember...it's morbid

Here we go with the must have new year's resolutions list ( in fairness to me, i managed to achieve 2 out of 10 from last year hehehe) :

1. SAVE!!! - for the future splurge hehehe

2. get a gym membership and get serious with working out (this seems to be in my list almost every year that never gets done)

3. always remember the magic formula : happiness = reality/expectations

4. to spend more time with my mom ( i miss her badly)

5. get promoted (this means less slack time/ get busy with business)

...so far I've got 5 but i know more will come up later

this is my grown-up christmas list...not!

aside from the usual world peace for christmas, i got some yummy cravings i wanted for the season...and yes - i am saving you the trouble of thinking what to give me to make me happy :)

let's go through the list shall we?

 1. a pack of 3 musketeers - something i haven't eaten for the longest time...someone's gotta go to Duty Free and buy me a bag ASAP before they run out of stock again.

 2. flexible fit boxers from Calvin - this new collection is delish...if it's not yet available here you can give me one of those "Steel Collections" and i want the one with the gold waistband

***model sold separately...u can have it included by the way...i wouldnt have a problem with that ^^wink^^

3. sony ericsson's W880 - i think it's time to give my P910i's a rest...i've been abusing it much for the last 2 years...and beside this new baby is super slim...i'm inspired to go on a crash diet to match its size

4. Starbucks peppermint mocha - i wouldn't care about the journal, i need the coffee...cmon' this is the easist one in the list...you can give it to me in an instant...by the way i wanted it triple shot/non-fat/nowhip/extra-hot

5. Armani Exchange's Logo City Baseball Hat - it wouldn't be complete without the must-have Armani...this is something that can add up to my collection and it featured the New York city skyline...and by the way i havent't had anything black for a cap



...these are little precious that i would want for X-mas...it wouldn't be a wishlist for others but hey where's the fun in that if you can have all of 'em in an instant :)

...i'd been killing time downloading cover art for my ipod touch coz i'll be needing it so badly coz it turned out my flight for Hong Kong's an hour ahead from that of my friends...at least i can blast up some tunes in the airport while waiting for 'em...

...i need to start packing, my sched's gonna be crazy next week aside from the fact that i'm working 7 days straight...kill me now!!! but i gonna know it's gonna be so worth it after - delaying gratification at its finest :)

...2 more weeks to go and i'm gonna be a year older and i can't wait to have it spent with the best people in the world (tetet, ian, claudia and iris) in Hong Kong and a bit of a pit stop in Macau...it's gonna be a long vacation that it will cost me few extra straight days of work - and when i say extra, that's equal to 7 straight days of work...but it's going to be sooo worth it - all i need is a caffeine overdose and i'm good :)
